Some things in life have a beautiful way of coming full circle.
My mother lived in countless fixer-uppers, always in neighborhoods that were just beginning to bloom. More than 20 years ago, she lived in a loft in the East Village. Today, it feels especially fitting that I find myself just down the street.
My friend Teresa Weidmaier — the creative collector of all things fabulous and owner of T.Weid & Co. — believed the East Village needed a space like this again. Teresa has long been a source of inspiration, reminding us that the past is never out of style. Having a space for Bloemveld and Boom in her shop feels like the beginning of an exciting new chapter.
See you in the shop soon!

OUR STORY
BEHIND THE NAME
/ˈblum.fɛlt/ and /boːm/
Bloemveld and Boom are Dutch words meaning “flower field and tree.” Our namesake is a nod to my heritage and to my grandmother, who always showed me that gardens, flowers, and nature are essential to a home filled with life and love.
These words serve as a reminder that the roots that ground us are sometimes the very things that guide us home.
OUR COMPANY ETHOS
We believe beauty should feel effortless — drawn from nature, layered with history, and guided by the seasons.
Here, you’ll find a variety of flowers, plants, and timeworn pieces that bring depth and life to a home, creating spaces that feel collected, lived-in, and naturally beautiful.
